TUI renews partnership with Plug and Play

As part of the partnership, TUI has joined the Travel & Hospitality vertical – a unique ecosystem that connects top-tier travel organizations with a curated selection of startups

TUI Group renewed its partnership with the world's largest innovation platform, Plug and Play, following the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the partnership, TUI has joined the Travel & Hospitality vertical – a unique ecosystem that connects top-tier travel organizations with a curated selection of startups through industry-specific accelerator programs in Silicon Valley and beyond. Working with dedicated startups will allow TUI to move more quickly, gain fresh perspective and implement cutting-edge solutions. Innovation is an important driver of TUI's growth strategy – both through internal teams and through such cooperations with external partners.

The partnership with Plug and Play is focused on supporting impactful initiatives across business areas that are dedicated to positioning TUI at the forefront of innovation in the leisure travel industry. Innovation leaders from business areas like Hotels & Resorts, Airline, Musement, Sustainability, Marketing, Cruise, and Ancillaries are actively involved in the partnership and work closely with Group Strategy.

According to Mircea Tudose, Director of Group Strategy & Ancillaries: “In TUI's growth strategy innovation is a key capability, driving new products or adoption of new technologies that can accelerate our progress. We are happy to restart our collaboration with Plug and Play and look forward to engage with the ventures ecosystem that they've developed worldwide. We've already built good experience working with founders & ventures and we will continue to develop it further.”
