TUI WORKWIDE Croatia – Joëlle Sabiti

As a global travel group, TUI wants to enable its employees to work abroad from time to time. The pandemic in particular has shown that flexible working is possible. For this reason, TUI WORKWIDE was launched in 2021. Colleagues can work abroad for up to 30 days a year to have a healthy work-life balance. This balance is important for a fulfilling career and overall personal well-being.

TUI Musement Recruitment Advisor, Joëlle Sabiti, recently combined her annual leave with the TUI WORKWIDE initiative to spend an extended amount of time in Split, Croatia.

Here is her story

“Split is a city that I particularly like. I have the soul of an adventurer, and I wanted to stay there for a long time. So, I first spoke at length to my Manager who gave me her approval for the trip. I was able to combine the TUI WORKWIDE with my annual leave.

Working in another country was not a problem. I am part of the Recruitment Team, and since the pandemic, we have digitalised the recruitment process, making remote working very doable. I worked two days a week at the accommodation and three days in a co-working space with other ‘digital nomads’. After work, I would go to the beach, visit the city or spend the evening with expats I had met. It was nice to be in a new environment and to be able to enjoy the sun every day.

I will tell my colleagues not to hesitate to take the plunge. It is incredible luck that we have this initiative. The real adventure lies outside our comfort zones. I will do another TUI WORKWIDE trip without hesitation! It was a very enriching experience and an incredible opportunity that TUI is offering to colleagues. I am thankful for it and am already thinking about my next destination.”
