First TUI hotel in Greek island of Santorini

At the beginning of June 2019, TUI SENSIMAR Meltemi Blu, designed in contemporary style, opened in Santorini. It is the first hotel of one of TUI’s international hotel brands in the Greek island. Apart from the brand-new TUI SENSIMAR Meltemi Blu, the portfolio of the international hotel concept TUI SENSIMAR has grown by three further hotels, situated in the Greek islands of Kos, Crete and Zakynthos. The hotel in Santorini, featuring only 96 rooms, targets couples seeking to spend their holiday together in a luxurious getaway. On the beach, which is only a minute’s walk away, guests can relax and wind down in hammocks. Fitness activities and an al fresco yoga space also ensure a calm and tranquil holiday.

Unique natural features

The island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea is one of the trending destinations for holidaymakers travelling to Greece. The island, formed as a result of a volcanic eruption more than 1,000 years ago, features special rock formations and exceptional beaches with red or black sand. Apart from the unique landscape, Santorini is also famous for its picturesque architecture: Numerous blue-domed towers and white buildings perch along the steep cliffs high above the sea.

With five new openings of TUI’s hotel brands, the world’s leading tourism group is continuing to expand its hotel business in Greece. From Summer 2019, TUI Group will operate a total of 49 hotels in Greece.
