Around 40 colleagues from different TUI Group businesses recently met for a Sustainability Vision Workshop to gather key stimuli for the new Sustainability Strategy 2030. Its goal is to strengthen TUI Group’s leading position in sustainability and help shape the future of sustainable travel. The workshop was also attended by Louise Bates, Managing Director TUI Blue & Hotel Concepts. During a short podcast session on the fringe of the event, she shared her vision for the sustainable development of TUI Blue hotels.
Under the motto “Sustainable Blue”, the lifestyle hotel brand has developed ten measures aimed at enabling TUI Blue to contribute to the sustainable development of the hotel business. The goal for TUI’s new overall Sustainability Strategy 2030 has been clearly defined: We are aiming to continue setting sustainability standards in our sector – for the ecological, social and economic dimensions of sustainability in tourism. Sustainability has to be an integral element of all our business activities more than ever before. Sustainability, entrepreneurship and profitability go hand in hand. The new strategy will be presented at the beginning of next year.
