Ski vacation in a fairytale world

With various slopes and magical landscapes, Slovenia is an attractive holiday destination for a skiing holiday

Surrounded by dense pine forests and with just 5,000 inhabitants, Kransjka Gora is quite tranquil – but in the calendar of the Ski World Cups, the north of Slovenia is a real hotspot. The international ski athletes has been stopping here for 50 years. But the trip to the area near the border with Austria and Italy is not only attractive for professionals. In addition to the World Cup location Kransjka Gora, other ski areas like Bohinj and Bled also offer excellent conditions for ski vacationers.

Along the Julian Alps, you will find the most popular ski areas in Slovenia. All of them have gentle, uncrowded slopes. Excellent ski schools make Slovenia a popular choice, especially for beginners and families. Even experienced skiers can experience slopes with high levels of difficulty. In addition, large investments have been made in the hotel sector in Slovenia. The guests can choose from a large selection of modern-elegant four-and five-star hotels.

Another plus is the landscape. Especially in winter Slovenia offers a magical picture with snow-covered forests and frozen lakes. If you visit Bled, for example, you will inevitably feel like you are in a fairy tale. There you will find the most photographed tourist attraction in the country – the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary on the tiny island in Lake Bled.
