
Kürzlich nahmen drei von vorerst sechs geplanten Solaranlagen in der Türkei den Betrieb auf. Insgesamt haben die in den letzten Wochen ans Netz gegangenen Photovoltaikanlagen eine Kapazität von rund 15 Megawatt (MW) und werden damit acht Hotels in der Türkei das ganze Jahr über mit Energie versorgen.
Eine der kürzlich ans Netz gegangenen Anlagen wird von TUI Hotels & Resorts Türkiye betrieben und hat eine Kapazität von 6,8 MWp. Der dort produzierte Strom wird den vier Hotels TUI Blue Palm Garden, TUI Blue Sarigerme Park, TUI Blue Seno und TUI Magic Life Belek zugeführt. Eine geplante Anlage in Şanlıurfa soll zukünftig den Strom für TUI Magic Life Masmavi und TUI Blue Grand Azur liefern.
Die zwei anderen Anlagen in der Türkei entstanden im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit zwischen TUI und Akra. Sie befinden sich in den Regionen Elmalı und Alanya. Eine dritte Solaranlage im Rahmen des Joint-Ventures geht im Laufe des Jahres ans Netz, weitere Anlagen befinden sich in der Planung. Die Anlagen werden vier Hotels vollständig mit Strom versorgen: Akra Kemer, TUI Blue Sensatori Akra Fethiye, The Residence at TUI Blue Sensatori Akra Fethiye und TUI Blue Sensatori Akra Sorgun.
