The hotel is the same size as it was before, but after the renovation its spaces have been optimised and a unique atmosphere has been created. The hotel’s new décor incorporates details that enhance its Mediterranean roots and lend it an exclusive touch that is very much in line with the style of the island of Formentera. During the construction and interior design of the hotel, the focus was always to offer an unparalleled experience, combining functionality, sophistication and aesthetics.
And, of course, the range of cuisine on offer, which was one of the most valued aspects of the hotel by guests before the renovation, has also been improved and expanded with the aim of continuing to be one of the highlights of the new Riu Palace La Mola. A new “à la carte” restaurant has been added, making a total of three restaurants: “Sargantana”, the main restaurant, “Krystal”, the gourmet à la carte restaurant, and “Ilios”, the hotel’s snack restaurant by the sea.
The Hotel Riu Palace La Mola, which has been completely renovated for the first time since the chain acquired it in 1973, has recently been awarded the Re Think Hotel Award for its sustainable approach to its renovation. This includes improvements such as the installation of solar panels for electrical self-sufficiency, the purchase of much more efficient equipment and machinery, air conditioning with a geothermal heat pump, and many more sustainable adjustments such as implementing water-saving and waste-reduction measures.
