The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was administered, meaning that only one dose is required to provide protection against COVID-19. The vaccines were provided in the hotels’ facilities, which had been properly set up for this purpose. They were administered by authorised members of staff from the Moroccan Ministry of Health.
Customers will now be able to enjoy their holiday in Morocco with maximum safety guarantees. In addition to our vaccinated employees, all of our hotels also have the “Welcome Safely” certificate as a safety guarantee, and not to mention the 17 RIU protocols that have been successfully put in place at all of the chain’s hotels, all with the aim of ensuring our customers enjoy the uncountable wonders of this destination in a safe space.
The facilities of the six hotels have everything our guests need to enjoy their holiday with their family, partner or friends. This variety is made possible thanks to the wide range of dining and entertainment options. What’s more, the hotels Riu Tikida Beach and Riu Tikida Garden are Adults Only to offer a more intimate and exclusive holiday to couples or adults that are travelling alone.
The international RIU chain was founded in Mallorca by the Riu family in 1953 as a small holiday firm and is still owned by the family's third generation. The company specialises in holiday resorts and over 74% of its establishments offer its acclaimed All Inclusive by RIU service. With the inauguration of its first city hotel in 2010, RIU is expanding its range of products with its own line of city hotels called Riu Plaza. RIU Hotels & Resorts now has 98 hotels in 21 countries. In 2024, the chain welcomed 6,7 million guests and provided jobs for a total of 38.055 employees. RIU is currently the world's 40th ranked chain, one of the Caribbean's most popular, and the fourth largest in Spain in number of rooms.
