It all began on Crete

Born in Rethymno, Crete, Nikos Daskalanatonakis began his career in tourism at a young age, working in his family's small hotel. However, he quickly realized that in order to succeed, he needed to offer something more than just a beautiful location. Together with his brother Takis, Nikos set out to create a new standard of hospitality that would prioritize the needs and desires of tourists. They founded the Grecotel hotel group, which quickly became known for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and commitment to Greek culture and style.

From the very beginning of his career, Nikos Daskalanatonakis recognized the importance of hiring and retaining the most highly qualified professionals. Throughout his career, he has also been an innovator, constantly seeking out new ways to improve the guest experience and stay ahead of the competition. He was always willing to invest in the latest technologies and amenities, as well as in the infrastructure of the luxury hotel market.

Growth all over Greece

Through years of hard work and dedication, Nikos built Grecotel into one of the largest and most successful luxury hotel group in Greece. Today, the company operates 40 hotels and resorts across the country, offering guests a wide range of experiences, from idyllic beachfront retreats to historic city centre properties.

Congratulations, Mr Nikos Daskalanatonakis.
