  • The hotels Riu Palace Tenerife and Riu Palace Meloneras stood out among the winners at the TUI Nordic Awards 2020 by winning “Gold” for the best hotels in their categories

A total of six hotels in the RIU chain from the Canary Islands were awarded by customers in Scandinavian countries who booked their holidays through the tour operator TUI Nordic. Two that stood out were the Riu Palace Tenerife, a 4-star hotel located in Adeje, and Riu Palace Meloneras, a 5-star hotel located in Meloneras, Gran Canaria, as they won “Gold” for Best Hotel in their categories.

Riu Palace Tenerife also achieved the top position in the categories Best Staff Service and Best Cleaning, as well as earning “Silver” in the Commitment to the Environment category. Its neighbour, the adults-only hotel Riu Arecas, also scooped up two awards, in this case “Bronze” for Best Hotel in its category and Best Cleaning Service.

Meanwhile, Riu Palace Meloneras in Gran Canaria was recognised with “Gold” for Best Hotel and Best Cleaning Service. Other hotels in the RIU chain in Gran Canaria that were awarded by TUI Nordic were Riu Palace Maspalomas, Riu Palace Oasis and Riu Papayas.

RIU received these prestigious awards in recognition of its hard work to maintain a high level of satisfaction among guests. These accolades are based on the results of satisfaction surveys completed by TUI Nordic customers after their holidays.
