Hanover, 27 June 2018. Today, TUI successfully issued a Schuldschein with tenors of five, seven and ten years including fixed and floating rate tranches. The average tenor of the transaction amounts to 6.4 years. Due to very strong investor demand the initially announced volume of EUR 200m was significantly oversubscribed and TUI decided to upsize the deal to EUR 425m. All tranches were priced at the tight end of the marketing ranges at 90, 120 and 135bps for the 5, 7 and 10 year tenors, respectively. The Schuldschein attracted a broad range of domestic and international investors. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes of the Group.
TUI Group CFO Horst Baier: „The successful transaction shows the trust in TUI and our strategic direction. We have therefore made optimal use of the attractive environment of the Schuldschein market for our Group. In addition to locking in favourable conditions we have extended our debt maturity profile and further diversified our refinancing instruments as well as our debt investor base. The transaction represents another important step in our capital market oriented financing strategy.”
HSBC and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg acted as Joint Arrangers on this transaction.
