David Burling has an extensive career in the travel industry and has been a member of the TUI Group Executive Board since 1 June 2015. In June 2018 he became CEO for Markets and Airlines within the TUI Group responsible for the Tour Operator activity in all of the source markets, including the Canada joint venture businesses, as well as TUI Group’s Aviation Platform. Prior to this he was responsible for the Northern Region Markets, and TUI Group’s Hotel Purchasing Function and TUI Group’s Aviation Platform.

Between 2011 and 2015, David was Managing Director for TUI UK & Ireland and a member of the Group Management Board for TUI Travel PLC. He was also Commercial Director for TUI UK&I following the merger of the Tourism Division of TUI AG and First Choice in September 2007 and was instrumental in the successful integration of these two businesses.

David started his career at Thomson Holidays in 1990 and has worked across the business, building his knowledge and expertise as well as great connections in the industry.
