What do you enjoy most in your job with TUI in Italy?

I enjoy organizing and handling a lot of different situations in Apulia and I really learn a lot because every day is a new challenge! I love to be a friendly host for my guests and I’m also glad to work with helpful and hospitable Italians.

What is special about Apulia?

Apulia is the third biggest vineyard of Italy. From the peninsula Salento in the South to the mountain massif Gargano in the North of Apulia. We do not only have 60 millions of olive trees but also long costs, gorgeous beaches, fantastic Apulian food and wine. Swimming, hiking, biking, surfing and diving – everything is possible here.

Which beach would you recommend in Apulia?

I would recommend Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of Apulia, where the Ionian and Adriatic Sea come together. Not far from this geographical heel, you’ll find the beach of Pescoluse which is one of my favourite beaches.

What local food should visitors try in Apulia?

One of our traditional dishes is “orecchiette alle cime di rapa” which is a special sort of pasta together with vegetables similar to broccoli. Visitors shouldn’t miss a tasty local vine like Negroamaro or Primitivo, which are famous in the region of Salento.

What is the best experience in your region that no visitor should miss?

Our TUI Collection “the white houses of Apulia” combines two of the most beautiful spots of South Italy. The white town Ostuni is famous for its labyrinth of small and tight lanes. You will learn a lot about the production of olive oil and get in touch with the taste of regional Apulian delicacies.
After that you will explore the town of Alberobello – a world cultural heritage. This amazing day will certainly stay in your memory for a long time!

Did you know …

… that with a coast length of 800 kilometers, Apulia is after Sicily and Sardinia the Italian region with the longest coast?
