TUI is listed on the FTSE4Good Index in recognition of our transparency and for meeting strict social, environmental and governance standards. TUI has been listed on this index for 13 consecutive years.

S&P GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY YEARBOOK

In 2021 TUI was included in the Sustainability Yearbook. The Yearbook showcases the sustainability performance of the world’s largest companies and includes the top 15% of companies in each industry. TUI has been featured in the Sustainability Yearbook 11 times.

Since 2015, TUI Group has been annually awarded an A or an A- grade from CDP Climate Change, the non-profit global environmental disclosure platform, for the quality of its disclosure and its actions taken on climate change. This annual voluntary carbon disclosure provides information on TUI Group’s carbon performance, management programmes, climate change risks and low-carbon opportunities. TUI did not receive scores in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic but plans to submit again in 2022.

  • TUI Cruises won CruiseCopenhagen Sustainability Award 2019. 
  • TUI UK & Ireland finalist in the TTG Travel Awards 2019 Responsible Travel initiative of the year category.
  • Robinson Club Jandia Playa became the 1st international hotel outside of Germany to earn the German Sustainable Business Council (DGNB) platinum certificate in 2019.
  • TUI ranked most sustainable travel company in Denmark in the 2019 Sustainable Brand Index.
  • TUI Airways and TUI fly Germany were ranked #1 and #4 most carbon efficient airlines globally in the 2018 atmosfair Airline Index (ranking of #1 and #2 for charter airlines). Since 2015, TUI Airways and TUI fly Germany have been ranked in the top 5 airlines in the global rankings, and in the top 3 positions for charter airlines.
  • TUI UK & Ireland won a Gold award at the WTM World Responsible Tourism Awards in 2018, in the Best for Communicating Responsible Tourism category.
  • TUI Cruises won the Green Light (eco travel) category of the 2018 National Geographic Traveller Readers Awards.
  • TUI Cruises won the myclimate 2018 award for measures taken to reduce CO2 emissions both on ships and land.
  • TUI fly Belgium won the Brussels Airport Environment Award in 2018.
  • TUI Group ranked in the top three most sustainable large companies in the 2017 German Sustainability Awards.
  • TUI Cruises were highly commended in the carbon management category of the 2017 WTM Responsible Tourism Awards.
  • TUI Cruises won the EcoTrophea award at the 2017 German Travel Association Awards.
  • TUI Netherlands won the Sustainable Travel category at the 2017 Dutch Travel Association ANVR Awards for the Kids Council initiative in Curaçao.
