The TUI hotel brand RIU has opened its sixth hotel in Morocco with its Moroccan partner, Tikida Group. Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout is located north of Agadir and it will be the brand’s first close to a small fishing village. Three more hotels are located in the Agadir region, two in Marrakech.
The Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout with its 504 rooms is situated directly on the beach facing the Atlantic Ocean and has a terrace and garden area of almost 45,000 square metres, on which there are five large pools with an elegant stepped design and Bali beds for relaxation. Five rooms are equipped with luxurious swim-up suites directly connected to one of the main pools. The hotel has two infinity pools facing the beach, as well as an indoor pool and one for the youngest members of the family. It also offers a comprehensive spa experience. While the younger guests can spend their day in RiuLand, adults can expect at daytime an entertainment programme and shows with live music in the evening. In addition, the Riu Palace Taghazout, just a few kilometres from the magnificent fishing town, offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the flair of the Bay of Taghazout.
Morocco as a medium-haul destination is registering an increase in bookings for the coming season. With the opening of the Riu Palace Tikida Taghazout in the winter season 2019/2020, Riu supports the growth path of the TUI Group. In May 2019 the TUI Sensimar Medina Gardens opened its doors in Marrakech.
