TUI Group in leadership band for approach to climate change

CDP has launched the results of the 2018 CDP Climate Change analysis today, awarding TUI Group a score of A-, which is in the leadership band category.

This is in recognition of TUI’s high level of environmental stewardship and robust actions that the business is taking to manage climate change. The Group’s approach to mitigating climate change impacts was independently assessed on information disclosed to CDP including governance, risk, emissions reductions initiatives, energy use and supply chain management. TUI’s score of A- was higher than the regional, sector and overall average.

TUI has participated in the voluntary carbon disclosure CDP Climate Change programme since 2007 and for the past five years has been in the leadership band for the quality of its disclosure and climate change performance.

TUI Group is committed to reducing the environmental impact of holidays through the Better Holidays, Better World 2015-2020 strategy, for example by aiming to operate Europe’s most carbon-efficient airlines and reducing the carbon intensity of its operations by 10% by 2020.
