Apart from cutting-edge technology, conscious nutrition and individual experiences, modern architecture is part and parcel of the concept of the new hotel brand TUI Blue. TUI Blue Sarigerme Park in Turkey has proven to be a particularly convincing case in point and was recently presented an award for the design of its public spaces. In the framework of the annual Hotel Application Award 2017, presented by the architecture trade journal AIT (Architektur-Interior Design-Technik), the hotel, opened in 2016, achieved the top rank in the “Best hotel concept“ category. For the Hotel Application Award, a jury comprised of international architects and interior designers evaluates the submitted hotel projects.
TUI Blue Sarigerme Park is characterised by a clear, structured design. With its inviting, open lobby, it aims to offer its guests ample space for their own ideas. Authentic holiday experiences in the region are a key component of TUI Blue’s concept, as reflected by the architecture of the hotel located on the Turkish Aegean. The design of the public areas is partially influenced by regional ornaments, flora and fauna, construction culture and design, e.g. in the form of wall structures, floor tiles or decorative elements. The parts of TUI Blue Sarigerme Park that have won the award were designed by the Hamburg-based cm-DESIGN firm, which had previously already been involved in the design of TUI Cruises’ fleet.
