In the run-up to the world’s largest travel trade fair ITB, tour operator TUI Deutschland honoured the 100 most popular holiday hotels worldwide at an award ceremony held in Berlin. All hotels with this accolade earned the highest customer ratings in the framework of hundreds of thousands of guest surveys annually collected by TUI Deutschland since 1994.
The night’s big winners were Spanish and Turkish hoteliers. 35 TUI Holly Awards went to Spain, with 15 each to the Canaries and Balearics and five to hotels in mainland Spain. Despite a challenging year 2016, Turkey managed to score high in terms of the quality of its hotels. 27 awards testified to the top quality services offered by the hotels and the good price/performance ratio in the holiday destination. “With the TUI Holly Award, we are seeking to express our own and our customers’ appreciation to our hoteliers. Being rated among the top holiday hotels is the result of hard and consistent work,” said Sebastian Ebel, CEO TUI Deutschland and TUI Group Executive Board member, at the award ceremony.
