On 23 August, the event format FASHION2NIGHT successfully debuted in Hamburg aboard Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ EUROPA 2. The cruise ship became a fashion hotspot, attracting prominent evening guests from the show and fashion businesses as well as industry and commerce.
The highlight of the evening: Toni Garrn, internationally acclaimed model and ambassador for the child protection organisation Plan International, presented the charity campaign of the evening. In May of this year, she had established her own foundation under the aegis of Plan International and presented her new project. Donations worth a total of 100,000 euros were collected for the project and will now be used to offer better educational opportunities for girls in Zimbabwe.
The cheque was handed over by Karl J. Pojer, CEO Hapag-Lloyd Cruises: “This impressive amount has not fully been raised at tonight’s raffle. In the past few weeks, before this event, guests of the other fleet members EUROPA, HANSEATIC and BREMEN also provided donations and support. We are proud of this commitment and therefore hand over the amount on behalf of the guests of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises“.
Apart from the fashion show, pop-up boutiques offered the guests the opportunity to obtain some personal advice from the designers and acquire new favourite pieces. For the fashion dinner, each of the designers had left their own personal mark in one of the restaurants.
The next FASHION2NIGHT will take place in the framework of a three-day cruise in Hamburg on 17 August 2018.
