May was strongest month for hotel openings – TUI Group expands its portfolio by more than 15 new hotels in eight countries within four weeks

TUI Group is further expanding its position as the world’s leading leisure hotelier. In May alone, the tourism group opened more than 15 hotels in eight countries. Particularly strong growth was delivered by the concept hotel brands TUI Sensimar, TUI Family Life and TUI Sensatori. The all-inclusive club brand TUI Magic Life is offering its guests three new resorts, and the long-standing joint venture partners Riu and Atlantica have also expanded their portfolios.

Hotels & Resorts, Cruises and Destination Experiences are TUI’s key growth areas. These businesses already account for around 70 per cent of Group earnings. The Group’s hotel segment, which delivers a strong earnings contribution, will be further expanded this summer. Overall, TUI is planning to open more than 20 new hotels of its hotel brands in eleven countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

This year’s new additions to TUI Hotels & Resorts are presented in a special themed section with available fact sheets and photos of the different properties. The section will be continually expanded over the next few weeks.
