TUI Blue: Body & brain training

TUI Group’s lifestyle hotel brand launches BRAINKINETIK® to promote mental fitness

TUI BLUE hotels will make a debut with BRAINKINETIK® training sessions from Summer 2019. The body & brain training, aiming to enhance people’s health awareness, will be included in the BLUEf!t programme offered by the hotels. Certain physical BRAINKINETIK® exercises will induce new functional connectivity in people’s brains, facilitating a demonstrable improvement in their performance and stress tolerance.

There is no doubt that many people increasingly attach importance to their physical well-being. In order to cope with the stressful daily work routine, BRAINKINETIK® helps people achieve a balance and promotes their mental resilience and physical capacity. The body and brain training sessions create positive changes enabling the participants to better cope with their day-to-day requirements and challenges.

Coordinative movement exercises have a positive impact on the development of the brain, says Oliver Rehbach, BRAINKINETIK® trainer and external coach for the hotels’ BLUEf!t Guides. Based on his own personal experience, Oliver is convinced of the methodological approach underlying the BRAINKINETIK® training sessions. “BRAINKINETIK® trains the brain to be more flexible and stress-tolerant so that people will, for instance, find it easier to face and implement change in a more relaxed manner.” Transformation requires strong mental structures, which are specifically promoted and reinforced through the training programme.

TUI Blue hotels will offer the 30-minute courses with BLUEf!t Guides once or twice a week. The courses constitute a perfect link between the autogenic and endurance training courses already offered in the framework of the BLUEf!t programme. In the framework of the BRAINKINETIK® programme, TUI BLUE guests will also learn how to integrate and continue the body & brain training into their everyday lives.

The hotels are already planning to launch TUI BLUE BRAINKINETIK® holiday weeks providing a more intensive training experience for the guests. The topic of “physical and mental fitness” is not only relevant for TUI BLUE guests in the framework of the newly offered BRAINKINETIK® trainings. Other options for the guests include the courses offered by fitness expert Johanna Fellner during the “Meerfit Week” at TUI BLUE Falesia from 18 to 25 September 2019, enabling the guests to test the optimum combination of sports and holidays.
