TUI introduces value guarantee for worldwide excursion programme

  • Customers receive security in terms of performance and price
  • Difference will be refunded, if guest finds the same product cheaper
  • Booking excursions gets even easier with new chat function

TUI introduces a value guarantee for its worldwide excursion programme at the beginning of the summer season. The world's largest tourism group thus guarantees its customers that they will not get any better service at the respective holiday destination. Should a guest receive the exact same excursion from another provider at a better price, TUI will refund the difference between the two offers. The value guarantee applies regardless of whether the customer has booked the excursion in advance at a travel agency, with a local rep or online. Currently, guests can choose from over 10,000 different excursions.

With the introduction of the value guarantee, TUI is consistently pursuing its differentiation strategy in the excursion segment. With “TUI Collection“ and “PLUS“, which was also launched this summer, the range already includes two product segments that can only be booked exclusively with TUI. TUI Collection includes excursions where guests can experience destination highlights in a unique, authentic and responsible way. With PLUS, customers receive an exclusive additional service when visiting sights or top attractions. This can be the case, for example, when buying a ticket for a water park, which includes unlimited use of all rides at no extra charge.

A new Chat function in the TUI App makes it even easier for customers to book excursions or submit other inquiries – 24/7. The guests’ chat messages are transmitted to a central place, the TUI Experience Center in Mallorca, and answered within 24 hours. The Chat function provides customers with a familiar channel and an easy-to-use and fast way to communicate with TUI. As before, holidaymakers may, of course, also personally address their local tour reps or contact the TUI Experience Center staff by phone.
