TUI Group extends its position in Switzerland

  • The take-over of Cruisetour AG will make TUI Suisse the leading agent for cruises in Switzerland.

The TUI Group continues to invest in the strategic core and growth area of cruises. In Switzerland, the world's leading tourism group is taking over Cruisetour AG and Croisimonde AG. Both companies are specialists in the marketing of cruises and jointly the market leaders in this field. As a result of the takeover, TUI Suisse will become the leading marketer of cruises in Switzerland and, at the same time, strengthen its own position as one of the country's largest tour operators.

The TUI Group is taking over 100 percent of the shares of Cruisetour AG and Croisimonde AG from their previous owners. Cruisetour AG has been operating in Switzerland for 15 years as a leading agent for cruise tours in German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland. The companies have agreed not to release details of the purchase price. The previous management of the companies will continue to run the business under the successful Cruisetour brand.
