Mr. David Burling was also appointed to the Executive Board for a further three years up to May 2021.

Dr. Elke Eller joined the Group Executive Board in October 2015 with a term of office up to October 2018. As Group HR & Labour Director, she is responsible for the development of 67,000 employees of the TUI Group worldwide as well as for security, health and safety.

Prior to his appointment to the Executive Board, he managed TUI UK & Ireland.

Professor Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TUI AG: "With the renewed appointment of Dr. Elke Eller and David Burling, we are continuing the good cooperation with both board members and aiming at continued  success. Following the merger of TUI AG with the former TUI Travel Plc, the development of a joint corporate culture has emerged as an important challenge. Dr. Eller successfully pays special attention to this process of cultural change. Under the management of David Burling, TUI UK & Ireland has maintained its position as a reliable source of profit even in the difficult situation following the Brexit vote. In the Nordic countries, he has achieved an important turnaround in the trend. Today, TUI Nordic is setting the pace for the digitization of TUI tour operators. The Supervisory Board and the Management Board are looking forward to the continued good cooperation with Dr. Eller and Mr. Burling.
