What do you enjoy most in your job with TUI in Marsa Alam?

I manage a team of 9 holiday advisors from all source markets – some of which are locals, others are from Europe. It is great that we all work together as one team.

What is special about Marsa Alam?

Marsa Alam is a small destination with traditional hotels as well as modern hotels. At our beautiful Port Ghalib Marina you can sit and watch the sunset with a traditional cup of mint tea and just relax watching the boats sail in.

Which beach would you recommend in your destination Marsa Alam?

My favorite beach is Abu Dabab. There you can see the marine life along with the beautiful corals and quite often see the green back turtles in this bay. Marsa is all about marine life it is very popular for diving and snorkeling.

What local food should visitors try in Marsa Alam?

Local dishes here are mainly rice, chicken, salads and fresh vegetables. However, my favorite is shish tawook, marinated chicken on a skewer and basbousa, an Egyptian oriental desert that should not be missed.

What is the best experience that no visitor should miss in your region?

Our “Sunset Cruise” is an amazing afternoon sailing trip to Marsa Mubarak where you will find the famous green turtles along with sea cows. You will enjoy night time snorkeling, a fantastic BBQ on board, watching the sunset with a glass of champagne and finally sailing back into the port under the stars.

Did you know …

… that there are more than 1,200 species of fish in the Red Sea? Around 10 percent of these are found nowhere else.
