Marella Cruises – A new name for new adventures

Marella Cruises (formerly known as Thomson Cruises) is Britain’s third largest cruise line, operated as part of TUI in the UK. With an offering perfectly tailored to the British market, customers can expect a unique experience with unrivalled entertainment and food on board.

With the change from Thomson to TUI, it was the perfect time for a new name. And Marella – which is of Celtic origin and means shining seas – perfectly sums up who they are and what they do.

Marella Cruises might be a new name, but the friendly welcome on board remains the same. They’re renowned for their excellent service and you’ll really notice how the crew make you feel at home onboard.

With six ships in the current fleet – sailing at almost full occupancy – Marella Cruises are recognising strong customer demand, and are introducing two new additons by 2019 – Marella Explorer, and the ship currently sailing as Mein Schiff 2. The modern additions to the fleet will enhance the on board experience, bringing to life a modernisation strategy that will benefit all customers, and provide something for everyone. Marella Cruises put a focus on unique destinations, with over 120 ports of call spanning from Asia to the Caribbean.
