Robinson – Premium club holidays

The hotel remains at the heart of our customers’ holiday experience. Holidaymakers perceive the hotel as the most relevant element determining their satisfaction with their overall holiday experience. In the framework of its growth roadmap, TUI therefore relies on four core brands and three international hotel concepts to meet the different needs and preferences of its customers. TUI’s hotel brands reflect trends and offer unique holiday experiences that best meet the expectations of every type of holidaymaker. This ensures guest satisfaction and above-average margins driving TUI’s hotel growth further ahead.

Robinson is one of the classics among TUI Group’s hotel brands. Its history dates back to the early 1970s. The ‘Jandia Playa’ in Fuerteventura opened its doors as the first Robinson Club in 1971. From that moment, Robinson set out to offer a holiday that was significantly different to conventional holiday hotels around at the time, initially predominantly to German guests. For guests not only interested in sun and beach holidays but also wishing to get active, a concept was born for a sporty, entertaining and sociable holiday for people with or without children, singles or couples. Robinson clubs remain the ideal holiday resorts for open-minded, discerning travellers wishing to spend quality time together and share unforgettable experiences during the best time of the year - both for families and couples but also solo travellers or friends. Robinson’s concept includes gourmet dining with live cooking, extraordinary gala buffets and speciality restaurants, a wide range of excellent wellness and sports programmes with licenced trainers and attentive childcare for kids and teens by pedagogically qualified staff. And, of course, the warm and friendly Robinson atmosphere.

The long tradition does not mean that the concept is no longer up to date. On the contrary: Robinson remains the German quality and market leader for club holidays in the premium segment. In future, Robinson will also increase its footprint in long-haul destinations. In Winter 2017, TUI’s club holiday provider will open two new resorts in Asia. With Robinson Club Khao Lak, the brochure will include the first club in Thailand, and with Robinson Club Noonu another club facility has been built in the Maldives island of Orivaru. Including these new resorts, Robinson currently offers 24 clubs in 13 countries – for those seeking relaxation and a particularly varied offering in a communicative atmosphere.
