New additions to TUI Group: TUI Suneo Supetar in Croatia, Robinson Club Ierapetra in Crete and new TUI Blue hotels in long-haul destinations

The summer holiday 2020 has started again. The TUI Group has not only reopened well-known hotels, but also welcomes some new additions to the tourism group's portfolio. The first TUI Suneo hotel in Croatia was opened on the island of Brac at the end of June. This week, the newly built Robinson Club Ierapetra followed on Crete and two new TUI Blue hotels in the long-haul destinations have also already opened. Instead of big opening ceremonies, this year's guests were delighted with a particularly warm welcome and the comprehensive safety measures for a relaxes stay.

Growth in the value-for-money segment

With the TUI Suneo Supetar, the TUI Group is expanding its portfolio of the budget hotel brand in Croatia. To this end, the existing hotel was extensively renovated and expanded by a beach bar. In the main restaurant, the WorldCuisine concept awaits guests with dishes from all over the world. The hotel on the island of Brac has 184 rooms and can be booked by guests from all TUI markets. The TUI Suneo Supetar has also been launched in the brand's new design, which will also be implemented in the existing hotels in future. TUI Suneo stands for good value for money and offers comfortable rooms in a central location. In cooperation with international hotel partners, TUI will continue to expand this offer in a cost-efficient way and attract new customers, such as the younger “Generation Y”.

New construction for the premium club brand

On 15 July 2020 the newly built Robinson Club Ierapetra on the south coast of Crete also opened its doors for the first time. Labelled as 'For All', the club targets couples, families or single travellers and has a 2km long beach of fine, black pebbles. The design of the rooms and restaurants reflects the Minoan culture of the island. The Robinson Club Ierapetra is already the third resort of the brand in Greece. The club can be booked by TUI guests from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands as well as directly via the respective platforms.

New guests from Asia and Africa

TUI Blue already announced further growth in long-haul destinatons last year. With TUI Blue Nam Hoi An in Vietnam and TUI Blue Bahari Zanzibar in Tanzania, two new lifestyle hotels now complement the TUI Group's portfolio. With their positioning as TUI Blue 'For All', the facilities offer the best conditions for holidaymakers who want to combine their stay with authentic experiences in the region. Due to the current situation, the hotels will initially welcome local guests from Asia and Africa.

New openings in times of Corona

Usually, the employees are already very busy before a new opening. This year, however, not only the respective hotel concepts were introduced in the holiday resorts, but also the comprehensive hygiene measures were implemented according to the highest Covid-19 standards. A special effort of the teams on site, who are now looking forward to offering guests a safe and at the same time enjoyable holiday. A further new addition to the hotel segment is already in the pipeline. The TUI Blue Montafon will open on 24 July 2020. The lifestyle hotel brand's third hotel in Austria is also a new build.
